Communicating about cohesion policy to citizens: approaches, channels and lessons learnt

The webinar showcases three communication initiatives supported by the European Commission to increase EU citizens' knowledge of and engagement with the EU's cohesion policy. One of these initiatives is the project Work4Future, carried out by OBCT together with Il Sole 24 Ore

The EU's cohesion policy is on the front line of the challenges that many citizens and regions face today. Yet citizens are too often unaware of this policy and its impact on their daily lives. This workshop showcases three communication initiatives supported by the European Commission in order to increase EU citizens' knowledge of and engagement with cohesion policy. The workshop will capitalise on the lessons learnt to provide local and regional authorities with recommendations in order to better communicate about cohesion policy.

OBCT will present Work4Future, an ongoing journalistic project on cohesion policy that it has been carrying out in partnership with Il Sole 24 Ore.

The event is jointly organised by OBCT, the European Association of Mountain Areas (Euromontana), and the Asociación de Emisoras Municipales y Ciudadanas de Andalucía de Radio y Televisión (EMA-RTV) as part of the EU Regions Week 2022 .
