In order to understand the needs of media workers all over Europe, OBCT is launching a survey inviting to answer to a few questions: journalists, stakeholders and media outlets have the possibility to describe what they are suffering in terms of intimidations and threats

The situation is alarming and journalists are suffering intimidations all over Europe.

There is the need to respond to these threats, but first it is necessary to understand and analyse the background and have details about the single experiences.

In the framework of its activity for the Media Freedom Rapid Response, OBCT is researching the needs of journalists and the existing support systems and centres in Europe and Candidate countries (Albania, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Turkey).

We would like to hear directly from subjects who have experienced threats and received support, and from those who contributed to helping journalists.

If you are a journalist who suffered threats and was supported in some way, if you are a member of a union or an activist or a lawyer and work for an organisation supporting journalists, or if you work for a media outlet and are aware of threats, please take part in our online survey.

It is totally anonymous and safe. Your participation will give us important information and input for our research and will provide the Media Freedom Rapid Response with useful suggestions on how to better protect and help journalists throughout Europe and in Candidate Countries.
