European Commission proposes stronger copyrights for journalism

The President of the European commission Jean-Claude Juncker, in his annual speech on the State of the Union held in Brussels on September 15th, 2016, made a serious request to protect the quality journalism. He came out with two legislative proposals for the Single Digital Market. The first one concerns Internet connectivity, and the other – the modernization of the copyright and related rights.
